Beanie Sigel f. 50 Cent : I Go Off
On one of the most controversial and energetic hip-hop singles of the year, former Roc-a-fella rhyme spitter Beanie Sigel has forged a new friendship and creative partnership with G-Unit’s top dog 50 Cent. The self-proclaimed “wack rap ring tone killer” goes on a verbal assault, re-establishing his place as one of hip-hop’s best lyricists, while even throwing some barbs in the direction of former boss and mentor Jay-Z. 50 Cent also takes shots at Jigga at the end of this one, mocking him and questioning his credibility in no uncertain terms. Fiddy rides the hook in his trademark laid-back delivery, but warns any challengers that the newly formed tag team of him and Sigel will give it to all comers. A solid reintroduction to the game and a peak into the possibilities of what a G-Unit-backed Sigel might sound like, “I Go Off” is sure to make enough noise to wake up those who might have been sleeping on Beans.
